About The Grand Palace in Bangkok
Thailand’s most popular tourist attraction is the Grand Palace, with 8 million visitors per year. The Grand Palace was once the home of the King of Thailand, it lies majestically beside the Chao Phraya River and contains Thailand’s most sacred temple, Wat Phra Kaew, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. The Palace is open to visitors every day from 8:30am until 3:30pm and there is an admission fee of 400 THB.
Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha)
The Emerald Buddha is Thailand’s most sacred religious icon; it is actually made of jade and is only 45cm high. In the last 600 years it has graced many temples but moved to its present location in 1784, the first historical recording was in1434 when the King of Cambodia presented it to the King of Ayutthaya. The statue now sits on a gold altar in its own dedicated temple in the Grand Palace complex. The Temple of the Emerald Buddha is a beautiful ornate, encrusted building with three main doors but only the King and Queen can use the centre door. The statue has a long history of being stolen and hidden then reappearing over the centuries.
Wat Pho & Reclining Buddha
Wat Pho is the oldest and largest temple in Bangkok and contains the enormous gold embossed Reclining Buddha. The measurements of the statue are 15 meters high by 46 meters long. King Rama III commissioned the Buddha in 1832. Wat Pho is also the home of the famous and renowned school of traditional Thai massage.
Wat Traimit (Temple of the Golden Buddha)
The story goes that when the Burmese were about to sack the city, the statue was covered with plaster to hide its value. Two centuries later, it was still in plaster and thought to be worthless. However, in 1957, when the statue moved to a new temple in Bangkok, it fell from its transport and was left on the ground by the workers. The next day, a temple monk, who had had a vision, was looking at the statue and noticed a glint of gold through a crack in the plaster, when examined it was made of pure solid gold. This beautiful Buddha statue is about 900 years old, is nearly 10 feet (3 metres) high and weighs over 5 tons.

Just a short note to thank your company on its professionalism. Your drivers are prompt and made us feel very welcomed. This was the 2nd time I have used your company and have no hesitation in recommending you to friends, in fact I will be back in October and will use your services again.
I found the service spot-on, e-mail confirmation, greeting at the airport and very reasonable price – Excellent service that I wouldn’t hesitate to use again.
My husband & I just wanted to let you know what a pleasure it was dealing with your Company, on our recent visit to Bangkok – which covered 4 pre arranged taxi collections from Airport to Hotel. Not only was the service fantastic, our driver was always very punctual waiting at the appointed place either Airport or Hotel at the correct time (if not earlier) – he always had the most beaming smile which was a lovely way to be greeted! This did include him having a good laugh at our expense, when he collected us at the Airport following a couple of days in the sun at Krabi when he saw how burnt we were! Unfortunately I not know his name, but hopefully you can check your records as we would very much like you to thank him personally for contributing to a memorable 1st trip to Thailand. As we commented after we left Thailand to travel onto China it was such a delight having such a lovely friendly driver and we cannot thank you enough. So much so that the service you provided has encouraged us to plan a visit Thailand again, and without doubt we will be using the services of your Company, Thank you both for the very professional service and equally important thank you for providing excellent drivers who are a delight to deal with, and who leave you with smile and very happy memories of an excellent trip. Kind regards. Jill White.
The airport transfer service was excellent! We were met on time by a friendly driver and taken to our destination in good time. The price was very fair and the cab was most comfortable. Thank you!
I used your service for 4 trips and was very impressed with the service. On-time for all the pick-ups, friendly but not too chatty and good quality cars. Excellent communication via email and sms. I will certainly use your service again.
The transport process was excellent. The driver was on time, made contact with us easily and transferred us to the hotel with comfort and helpfulness. The car was very comfortable and I would recommend your services to others.
Thanks for the smooth arrangements, and in particular for the pre-arrival e-mail communication and advice in the light of the red shirt protests. The Chatrium hotel which you recommended we should change to was out of this world and more than made up for our inability to go to the city centre. As suggested, river transport enabled us to see as much as we needed to. Your driver was waiting for us upon arrival and transported us efficiently to the hotel. He picked us up as arranged later in the week for a memorable visit to the Kwai bridge and Tiger Temple, producing scented towels and cold water from a cool-box filled with ice in the boot of the car – most welcome after a few hours in the sun with the tigers! He was early and waiting for us on check-out and once again a smooth journey to the airport was accomplished. With prices lower than any competitor I could find (and not much more than taxi fare!), and hassle-free service I would recommend BAT to any other visitor to Bangkok.
The service was superb. The car was nice and the driver very friendly and professional. Would definitely use again.
Thanks for organising the airport transfer at Bangkok for us. The service was very good. It was great to have a reasonably priced pre-booked transfer and avoiding searching high and low for a local meter taxi, especially with 2 young children after a long flight. We’ve had problems in the past where our taxi driver had no idea where our hotel was and ended up on the other side of the city! Also, it was great to walk straight past the bombardment of expensive airport limos when we came through customs. Will definitely use again…and will also not hesitate in recommending to friends.
Your guy was excellent and very professional. I actually would like to use your services again in about 3 weeks.
